Thomas M. McKinley—Associate Attorney
Attorney McKinley has been with Ketchel Law since March 2015. In that time, Attorney McKinley has successfully litigated thousands of cases for thousands of clients in all types of criminal matters.
Attorney McKinley has litigated cases in front of judges and juries all over western Pennsylvania. He has handled cases in 25 counties in Pennsylvania as well as in Federal Court. He is a veteran litigator who has successfully argued a wide variety of preliminary hearings and pre-trial motions. He has also tried numerous non-jury and jury trials to successful not-guilty verdicts.
Attorney McKinley strongly believes that every person is entitled to a fair, skillful and knowledgeable defense to the charges they are facing. He knows that charges are simply allegations and are not proof or evidence that any crime was committed. He has experience and success in all matters of criminal defense, from allegations of DUI and drug possession to allegations of violent crimes and sex crimes.
Attorney McKinley fights for the rights of his clients to ensure that they get the best possible outcome. Attorney McKinley regularly handles complex criminal cases that could result in serious punishment, such as sex crime charges that can result in sex-offender registration, DUI cases, violent crime cases, PFAs and ICCs, theft cases, and drug and firearm cases.

Attorney McKinley is a Pittsburgh native and has lived in the Pittsburgh area for all his life. He received his undergraduate degree and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the United States Western District Court of Pennsylvania.
